It’s Friday and you’re back for another episode of Dave snaps another wedding. Lachie and Becs and some classified lad antics, chats that I’ve redacted and plenty of choppers big and small making their way throughout the day.
I get asked a lot what makes a good wedding or what weddings are the best to shoot. For me it’s the people, all the GC I get to chat to and interact with. For Lachie and Becs, they surrounded themselves with plenty of GC. Ooophf it’s been a bit of season so far and this old boy has a bit of a backlog of juicy wedding content, the old social media is a spicy beast.
Beaut of a day down in Wairarapa for local yummy honeys Alice & Josh in Kahutara. Some great chat with the friends and fam, brother Sam on the tools serving the bubbles and Dad dusting off the orange station wagon, their was no hands in pockets.
Working alongside the talents and a couple of my faves @sinkorsurface and @suzettemayflorist this was a helluva a day. Nice hard working people who like to have a good time, my guys

I managed to get in a great little summer festive break and start off my 2023 with a beaut of a wedding day out at Lacewood on the outskirts of Martinborough township.

What a whirlwind of a week after shooting 3 events in 4 days and covering nearly 2000km on the road driving. The day before Dushka and Matt’s big day I ended up doing my back and couldn’t move or stand on my own power, fast forward 12 hours, plenty of painkillers later I got to capture one of my favourite weddings this year. Dashes of colour, plenty of yellow and the owner of the Tree Church venue in Turiturimuri Felicity (and mother of the bride) brining the energy and lols all day long.
