Wairarapa Farm wedding on Tessa and Eugene in the back blocks of Tinui

You can’t beat days like this. This is what modern weddings should be all about. The people, your people.
— Tessa & Eugene

You can’t beat days like this. This is what modern weddings should be all about. The people, your people. The boys summed it up with hearty words and beautiful emotion, even for hard working farming boys from the country. Not afraid to shed a tear and let their best mates know how they felt. And I hadn’t even got to the girls who were chippy eating, white linen wearing legends.

Tessa and Eugene, you’re bloody good, real, honest people. I love that shit aye. Your wedding was a bloody dream, Tīnui put on a stellar of a day and Simon & Heather hosted one helluva shin dig. Good people, good tucker, real up the guts photos. Tbh I don’t care for art or creative fluffy stuff, give me this all day every day.

Kate and Leighton featured in Issue 27 of Together Journal

I thought Leighton was so amazing, with his long hair, walking barefoot around Wellington.

Feaured in issue 27 and online on Together Journal

I thought Leighton was so amazing, with his long hair, walking barefoot around Wellington. We balance each other, as I am quite organised and Leighton is relaxed. We were nearing our 10 year anniversary when Leighton arranged a trip to Vietnam and proposed while we were in a small row boat in Ninh Bình – a beautiful place. The following day, he arranged a private boat to stay overnight in Ha Long Bay. This was his original proposal plan, but he forgot to tell the crew he’d already done it, so he had to pretend to propose again, as they’d set up leaves and petals in the shape of a heart on a beach.

Another stunner wedding at Rose & Smith at Tauherenikau

Such a dreamy start to our season
— Rose & Smith

It’s saaaah good to be amongst the big big energy of weddings again. Winter still hasn’t done its dash but that hasn’t put a dampener on the wedding day vibes. I twas back at my second home @rose_and_smith for Georgia & Aiden’s schlick day.

From the boys welcoming me in with an ice cold beer to the beautifully husky ceremony by @marriedbyabbey the wedding day was amazing from start to finish. We even managed to sneak in a tiny first dance to kick off the dancefloor. Snaps on snaps of snaps, check’em out #davidle_nz @davidle_nz
