The world is a pretty messed up place atm so I’m grateful to escape the realities of it all and capture arohanui and happiness at weddings every weekend.
An early morning flight from Tāmaki Makaurau and a tiki tour drive south was food for the soul to capture Teesha & Petros wedding @the_milk_station_otaki
These guys, talented people in their own right did their wedding how they wanted. No cake, no sit down dinner. Just good drink, good people and a bloody good time. That’s what I love about this gig, we’re all different people from different back grounds, but if you’re a GC, life is good.
Finally, bit of a power bomb meeting @danielricciardo as I’m a big F1 fan, looking forward to season 3 of drive to survive, vamos smooth operators🤘🏽#davidle_nz @davidle_nz

We have always envisioned our wedding to be a mix of the two cultures we have been brought up in, both Kiwi and Sri Lankan. Although a traditional kiwi-styled ceremony, we incorporated cultural touches such as our bridesmaids wearing sarees and having a traditional Sri Lankan oil lamp ceremony and Sri Lankan dancers at the reception!

You know someone has done there homework when they’re busting out inside jokes as soon as you step in to the room. Ceilidh with here locked on spreadsheet and quality banter and Joe and boys bringing the smiles all day. Teaming up with the slick rick that is Sink or Surface for another photo and video collab.

Mum was on the florals and what an amazing set up it was. Some seed and grain chat from Joe during golden hour topped off a stellar day in the Wairarapa. Check out some of the beaut snaps below.

It’s great getting to a stage where the bulk of my couples who book are my type of people. Charlotte & Fraser we’re just that. Super chilled, hugely welcoming, up for a laugh and downright just bloody good people. And this was repeated throughout the day by everyone during the speeches of just how well loved both of them are by their friends and family.

This summer weather the last month has been ahhhhhmazing minus the ahhhhmazing part. Cyclones, rain and humidity turned up to eleven, it hasn’t been the easiest or most ideal conditions to get married in. Lucky for Shannai & Andy they had an incredible plan B, C & D and the incredibly talented @evokefloralstylist to create a space that was a dream. A few snaps of the wet and wild day featuring some A crop vendors and created alongside my fedora wearing mate @sinkorsurface
