Today, Andrew and I are sitting down with wedding photographer David Le, who created a Wes Anderson inspired, stop motion masterpiece of a film that was nominated for Junebug's best wedding film 2021. However, the catch here is that it was so time consuming and difficult to create, that he will never make anything like it again. And so today’s show is about trying new things, learning, being creative, failing and ultimately finding small nuggets of gold amongst piles of shit.

The long weekend had me pumping out the mahi and cranking a triple wedding weekend. In the middle of the mayhem was the wedding of Luka and Kyla at Tarureka Estate. Plenty of aroha and amazing emotion filled the day. Beaut of a day and here’s a little snapshot from it!

I started this crazy year of 2020 with a banger with my pal Sink or Surface and we ended another stills x motion collab with another banger in Otaki for Josh and Kendall at Anam Cara Gardens.

‘We were very fortunate to hold our wedding at my parents’ farm in Mangaweka. Their property lines the white cliffs of the Rangitikei River and has breathtaking views. We were also super lucky for a perfect summers day!

We think investing in good photography and videography is the best thing you can do on your wedding day. We were lucky enough to have David Le and Ben from Sink or Surface capture our day, and they also gave us such good advice as we had no idea what we were doing and had our bridal party in stitches the whole day!’
