Wet and rainy wedding in Palmerston North for Kate and James

Married on the back 9, on a wet and humid Manawatu day with old Daddy Dave
— Kate & James

After a wild weekend mission up to the a flooded Auckland I was back shooting a double in the mighty Manawatu. Palmy turned on the humidity to 100%, mixed in with plenty heavy downpours all wrapped in the beautiful wedding of Kate and James on held on the back nine of the Manawatu Golf Course and the family Tennis court.

Bright bold splash of this years colour of the year Magenta, plenty of lush greenery and topped off with top tier wedding vendor talent in Shaun Preston, Veronica Jayne, Sweet & Tonic, Lucy Willoughby and Boatshed Catering feeding the troops.

The rain did not dampen the spirits, the morale was high and old Daddy Dave approved, check out the snaps below!

Another stunning weekend filled with a couple of weddings got me travelling around the Manawatu and Whanganui region. Saturday had me out at the Raleigh Farm with a fabulous @flagship_events filled with @flockevents and @evokefloralstylist goodness. With the old Rona circling in fast I’m super grateful to go another week celebrating another bunch of amazing people. @davidle_nz #davidle_nz

Stunner of a wedding at Makoura Lodge

A couple who vorteks together, stays together
— Minke & Ben

Another wild and crazy year is about to wrap up. From saying I’d no longer shoot back to back weddings to ending the year shooting 4 in 5 days it was like we’re in another dimension. Working with incredibly talented creatives and meeting so many beautiful and kind people.

Big yuge shout out to all my couples this year, you’ve been hella supportive, open minded and understanding - I’ve heard about some horror stories and I’m glad I don’t have any to share. To my Auckland and overseas couples who couldn’t quite cross the line, we’ll get there! And to all the businesses that got me on for projects big and small from cookie pies, to flowers to luxury SUVs.

Big takings from this year; it was a lot like last year and next will probably be the same. Majority of Reels are f’n weird. Celebrate your wins and surround yourself with good people and stay away from the negative chat. Signing out to 21 with the good vibes from my last wedding of the year for Minke & Ben. Find someone who is willing to vortekky a drink with you on the back of a truck. #davidle_nz @davidle_nz

Charlotte and Tom's beautiful rural wedding in Waituna West

Windy wedding in Waituna West

The second wedding of my back to back was a wild windy one in the wop wops of the Manawatu in Waituna West for the wedding of Charlotte and Tom.

Some million dollar views mixed with some million dollar smiles, you couldn’t of asked for a better crew of people, and Magnums for dessert, what a day!!

Wild weather wedding at Makoura Lodge

Makoura Lodge Wedding

Was another weekend of a double banger in the mighty Manawatu region. Saturday took me out to Makoura Lodge in Apiti. The cold morning, scorching hot sun, the gusting wind and the torrential rain, we had it all for Jess and Jono’s big day.

But with a bit of on the fly decisions, plenty of beersies and the uncles, we got it done!
